Membership dues allow a discount on registration fees at the International Liquid Crystal Conferences, cover free subscription to Liquid Crystals Today, provide access to the ILCS members database, encourage doctoral research activities through the Glenn Brown Awards and support our World-Wide-Web Internet server, http://www.ilcsoc.org.

We look forward to continued growth of the ILCS. We very much hope that the members of the Society will continue the active exchange of ideas and encourage their colleagues to join the Society. The Society welcomes specialists and students working in non-traditional fields such as liquid crystals of biological significance.
