This fund will enable Kent State University (its Colleges, Departments, Institutes, and Initiatives) to host scientists, scholars, and students from the Ukraine on a temporary basis to continue their work and research as part of an International Visitor (Visiting Scholar) program. This fund was established thanks to equally generous gifts by Elda & Torsten Hegmann as well as John West & Cevin West Cole.

It is with great sadness that I have to inform the society that our friend and colleague Prof Jan Jadżyn has very recently passed away. Jan was emeritus professor at the Institute of Molecular Physics Polish Academy of Sciences. He was an eminent researcher of the dielectric properties of complex liquid systems, a scientist with extensive knowledge and great authority. With Jan Jadżyn’s death we lost an outstanding colleague far too soon.
